Sculptural facial with buccal massage is an incredibly special treatment. Clients are booking in for it to help address muscle tensions, tone facial contouring, encourage circulation in tissue, and deeply relax.
The training Lauren completed is popularly known as Sculptural Facelift. After offering this treatment for a year, we have since changed the treatment name to Sculptural Facial. We like to follow our client’s lead, and Lauren witnessed that clients were seeking the treatment for muscle relief, and not necessarily for a “snatched” appearance. While we all love a defined toned look, like most things in this industry, that is the most boring benefit of the treatment. A happy side effect, if you will.
A sculptural facial combines intensional facial massage techniques, with what is known as buccal or intraoral massage — where the therapist works inside the mouth (wearing gloves) to release tension utilizing the ability to work from either side of the tissue.
By warming up tissues of the chest, and neck first we can more adequately relieve tension in the facial muscles. This is a great jumping off point for clients to continue facial massage at home to work at maintaining tension relief.
The esthetician works both externally on the face, neck, and chest, and as I like to say, “hands in mouth” - the cheeks, mouth and around the jaw.
- the session lasts about 75 minutes, typical to Lauren style it will sometimes go 5-10 over
- The first 40 minutes are external massage, followed by about 15-20 of buccal massage
Benefits
- Noticeable definition
- Relief from jaw tension, we like to make it very clear that Lauren is not trained in TMJ treatment, clients do like to do sculptural facial to help with muscular tension and find benefit with it

What to expect afterward
- Results are often visible immediately after one session
- Mild soreness inside the cheeks or jaw for 1–2 days is normal
